I had a very disappointing experience at Skip’s. When I walked in, an employee greeted me and asked what I was looking for. I explained that for homecoming, the girls at my school typically get mini bouquets and the boys get boutonnieres. Instead of simply helping me with what I requested, he told me that I wasn’t getting married and that getting a mini bouquet was “stupid.” He then said, “What are you going to do, hold it all night while you’re dancing? You need a corsage.” I politely explained that mini bouquets are a tradition at my school and that it’s what many of the girls do. He responded by saying, “If everyone does something, you’re going to do it too? Why don’t you be yourself?” At that point, I felt uncomfortable and stopped engaging in the conversation, so I looked at my phone and let my mom continue speaking with him. He then commented to my mom, “Look, now she’s all upset.” I came in simply looking to purchase flowers for homecoming and did not expect to have my choice criticized or questioned. I have ordered mini bouquets before without an issue, and I was surprised by how unnecessarily uncomfortable this interaction became. Unfortunately, based on this experience

Skip’s Florist did an amazing job for our wedding! The flowers were absolutely beautiful and everything came out exactly how I envisioned. Stella was incredible and helped me through everything from start to finish. She made me feel so welcome and comfortable throughout the whole process. She truly brought my vision to life, and I couldn’t have been happier with everything! ❤️

So impressed with this florist! They made same-day delivery completely stress-free, the two times now I have ordered from them. Their team was incredibly responsive and helpful, even allowing me to update my order details after I reviewed the confirmation email. To top it off, the arrangements themselves both times were absolutely gorgeous and full of fresh, high-quality blooms. Will definitely order from them again, and 100% recommend if you’re in the Toms River area !! (Attached is the arrangement from the most recent order)
